Discover the Vanoise National Park

parc national vanoise montagne

La Rosière is part of the communes bordering the Vanoise National Park.
This park nestled between the Maurienne and Tarentaise regions offers more than 400 km of marked trails, with trekking tours possible over several days going from refuge to refuge. It has been twinned since 1972 with the Grand Paradiso Park in the Aosta Valley.

It allows you to get very, very close to chamois, ibex and marmots!
We particularly like the Réserve naturelle du plateau de la grande Sassière on the commune of Tignes, easy access, flat for children who enjoy observing the families of marmots.

The summit of the Grande Casse 3855m is the highest point of the massif, very vertiginous run with the famous 800m couloir des Italiens with a 55/60° slope followed very closely by the majestic Mont-Pourri 3779m.

The parc de la Vanoise has many glaciers accessible with a high mountain guide. Pralognan-la Vanoise is a family ski resort, the starting point for many glacier hikes. While crossing this park, you will also find numerous lakes.
